Haha, yep, that’s me!  Always laughing or smiling, and clearly not able to take a serious photo of myself.

So truth, I’ve written this ‘about’ section probably 13 times! I start talking about my love of photography and then end up 6 paragraphs deep about how I started shooting in grade 6 (yes, a few decades ago), shot for a skateboard magazine, took as many photography courses as I could, won an Art Careers award, basically was known to always have a camera with me, worked at a camera shop, pushed back against switching to digital (I loved film!), worked in film/tv in the costume department for almost 10years, and then when I started having kids, I was a wee obsessed with capturing their every moment. Seeing how quickly the kids were changing, I knew I wanted to do the same for other families!! Oh wow, look at me! There it is, the Cole’s notes in just a few sentences. Yay me!

Oh, and if you’re wondering, yes, I did switch over to digital, lol. Well, not right away of course.  In ’04, I finally upgraded from my manual focus film camera to a film SLR. I was so excited! Auto focus, custom settings, 3 FPS, auto white balance, auto exposure, I mean, it had everything I’d always dreamed of. Then the small digital point + shoots came out and gosh, it was just so darn convenient! But I hated the lack of control with settings, terrible depth of field, no matter how hard I tried, I was never satisfied with the images. So, yada yada yada, it was time for a DSLR.

And.. I digress, lol. This is so hard to keep short!!

I guess all that to say that photography has always been my love, my passion, no matter what stage of my life I was in. And I am SO grateful for that!!

I cannot wait to share this love with you. To capture your family’s memories! You can’t go back in time, so freeze these beautiful memories now!!!
